Background

The second daughter of a Garlean defector and a Doman seamstress, Midia was born in the Yanxian countryside, during the oppressive Doman Occupation. Her love of physical medicine comes from her father, a former Primus Medicus, turned local doctor after his defection. Given her heritage, she was incapable of constructing stable flows of aether from birth, making her practice with more scientific healing all the more important for the young raen.The Empire however is not known for taking its defectors lightly, culminating in Midia loosing her village at the age of 14, separated from most anyone she could call freind or family, and fleeing first for Kugane and then making her way to Eorzea to escape as far as she could from Doman occupation. Taking the name Madison, a with a less Garlean ring, she made a name for herself using her skills as a back alley doctor on the streets of Ul'dah, patching up those less scrupulous souls who couldn't or wouldn't be seen by proper authorities.

Current Work

Currently, Madison bounces about between free companies, offering her services to the highest bidders and those she cares to call friends, as well as spending time on the Bozjan front mending wounds inside the 212th Combat Support Hospital. Having finished a more formal education with a fellowship of like practiced healers, she offers a wide range of medical care, ranging from battlefield triage to surgery to even as simple a task as wellness checkups.She's recently been combing through her fathers work with atheromechanics, forcing herself to take up the study of magitechnicial engineering to start piecing together what remains of his work from his time in Garlemald.

COMMON:

  • Need a doctor an fast? Madison is well trained across a wide variety of medical disciplines, yell for a doctor and she'll likely come running.

  • The doctor is a singer on her off nights, sometimes seen in taverns all over in her travels. Could always ask her for a song (she does covers most often.)

UNCOMMON:

  • Fight in the Bozjan front? Madison's duty assignment is the 212th Combat Support Hospital. If you've sustained an injury on the front lines, you may have passed under the good doctors care.

RARE:

  • Frequented tavrens in Shirogane? You may have crossed her path years ago, when she could barely speak proper Hingan an not a lick of Eorzean.

Appearance

  • Tattoo - Back: A large spread of a staff up her spine, a set of dueling dragons of eastern origin twisting around it, their wings forming a cross upon the top. A spread of cherry blossoms cross her shoulders and a bed of roses lay just above her tail. Across the blossoms, written in beautiful calligraphy: Inest Clementia Forti. Down along her back to either side of the staff, in extremely fine print running in columns, 42 names, with space for plenty more.

  • Tattoo - Left Leg/Foot: Starting from her toes, a detailed star field, transition into a mountain range at night of dark grays, sliding into a dark green forest and up towards a field of wild flowers, slowly fading back to her skin tone. At the halfway mark sits a large amaryllis in bloom.

  • Collar - On the outside, well cared for black dyed leather, a silver engraved plate, featuring her name in both Eorzean and Doman script. Usually worn with a small golden bell upon her neck.
